About Chris Schauer

I came to Costa Rica from California, where I worked as a licensed real estate appraiser and a licensed real estate broker, and spent years in IT for real estate and financial services firms. I am also a residential real estate investor myself, so I look at a property the way you will: what it costs to own, what it would rent for, and what it will be worth when you sell.

My wife and I moved to the Costa Ballena with our dogs and have lived here full time since 2017. I have built here too, so I can tell you what building on a lot really involves, from the road and the water to the builders and architects worth calling.

I work out of RE/MAX We Sell Paradise, where I am a RE/MAX Hall of Fame agent. I am a member of the Costa Rica Global Association of Realtors and a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) with the National Association of Realtors, and I work in English and Spanish. My office is 50 meters north of the entrance to Ojochal (map).
